Happy Friday, friends! I don’t know about you but between this bipolar Michigan weather and the tease of Spring – March is sounding awfully good! And this month, GR is packed full of events around town and when the weather does hold up, people come out of their winter hibernation and it seems the city has a lot in store for us this month.
There are a few things around the greater GR area this weekend that I want you to know about:
- Feel like shaking it tonight? The Complete VII Dance Party at the Pyramid Scheme – featuring local DJ sets – including my fave AB (check out his Insta, he’s pretty rad and has a sick clothing line to boot) – starts at 10pm tonight! You can still buy tickets online for $6 or $10 at the door. Grab some friends and shake your booty into Spring!
- GB Russo and Son 111th Anniversary Kickoff this Saturday 3/5 – I love this family owned wine and specialty store so much and if you haven’t been there, thus weekend is the time to go! Expect wine, beer and food specials as well as some tastings and 20% off white tagged wines tomorrow only! Need I say more? #winoheaven
- Sugar Snow event at Blanford Nature Center tomorrow 3/5 – Family friendly event where you learn about an historic 1800s treat made from local maple syrup and you and the kids get to taste this old recipe! You can buy tickets online for $3 for members and $6 for nonmembers. Events goes from 2-3:30pm.
- Human Hungry Hippo Tournament at Rosa Parks Circle this Sunday 3/6 – Watch as fellow humans recreate this fun game you probably played as a child – on ice! This is bound to be entertaining. Games go from 2:30-5:30pm – free to watch (and if you want to see what this looks like, check it out here on YouTube).
What are you planning this weekend? Hopefully you are as ready for Spring as I am and we can send some vibes to Mother Nature. 😉
As always, thanks for reading! Feel free to leave me comments and tag me on social media!
