Jonny B’z Soft Opening Recap

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the Soft Opening for Jonny B’z new location and it was fantastic! If you read my post – Jonny B’z Revamp // Cocktail me Crazy – you already know I sampled some of the signature cocktails back in March and have been patiently anticipating the Soft Opening for a while! 


The interior of the restaurant has a modern yet homey feel – with polished, grey walls and natural wood and metal on the tables with pops of red; which matches the renovation on the outside of the Restautant that started as a mechanical garage. 


And the bar is beautiful – complete with my fave kind of backsplash: white, subway tile that fits perfectly with the atmosphere! 

Alright, enough about the interior – let’s get to the good stuff: food and drinks. 

The Country Roads – so good, I barely captured it before it was gone!


I started off with my favorite drink from the sampling in March – Country Roads: bourbon, fresh squeezed orange, ginger simple syrup, ginger beer and bitters. In addition to the signature cocktail list, the drink menu also has some wonderful local beers on draft, great wine selections, full liquor options and of course some non alcoholic beverages as well. 

The menu was so delicious and there are some awesome smoked meat, appetizer and side additions to the list. The best part – the bang for your buck! I cannot get over how much I enjoyed everything while still eating out very affordably.

My favorite appetizer was the smoked whitefish dip and the loaded pull pork fries! 

I mean – how could you not oggle at this app! ?


For my entree, I had the Kraut dog (under three bucks!) and I also tried the Beef Brisket with a variety of sides and sampled all three of the sauces! My personal favorite was the Carolina style mustard but the Tennesee mild sauce and the Tennesee hot sauce (jalapeño goodness) were awesome too!

The upgraded menu truly has something for everyone but the OG feel of Jonny B’z is definitely still there as well. The restaurant has been open to the public since last Thursday – make sure to stop in and support the new location!
